Hemisfair Civic Park
San Antonio, Texas
The Springs at Hemisfair Park (Phase 1) are officially open!
A remarkable multi-element water feature that draws inspiration from the natural aquifer exclusive to San Antonio is broken up into 5 individual features. This inspiring creation encompasses a 400-foot water channel, gracefully descending four feet along the western side of The Great Lawn, ultimately nourishing The Springs.
In adherence to sustainability practices, the irrigation system and water features ingeniously utilize reclaimed water sourced from an adjacent basement. This precious resource is stored in a 41,000-gallon cistern, discreetly nestled 20 feet beneath the ground. Prior to entering the park’s captivating water features, the water undergoes a comprehensive treatment process, ensuring it meets the standards set for swimming pools.
