Behind the Scenes: What Happens to Fountains in the Off-Season
When the last few leaves fall and the water finally stops flowing, most people assume that fountains take a long winter nap. But behind the scenes, the work is far from over.
For our team, the off-season is when the next season of projects begins to take shape. This quieter time of year gives us the opportunity to review designs, plan construction timelines, and work closely with clients on budgeting and coordination for upcoming builds. It’s also when we assess how existing commercial features performed—what worked beautifully, and what can be refined in future designs.
Winter downtime gives fountains a chance to rest, but it gives us a chance to get creative. Each project we plan in the off-season helps ensure that, come spring, new features come to life seamlessly and existing installations continue to shine.
At SAI Fountains, the art of water design never really stops—it just shifts behind the scenes. If you’re planning a new commercial fountain project or exploring budget options for the upcoming year, our team can help bring your vision to life.
